Lagos, Nigeria – March 4, 2026 – Tizeti, a West African broadband provider, has completed the rollout of a reward-based internet access platform across all its hotspot locations in Nigeria and Ghana, converting advertising engagement into free connectivity for millions of users.
The platform, powered by Google Ad Manager’s Rewarded Web technology, allows users to voluntarily watch short video advertisements in exchange for data rewards, unlocking internet access without upfront payment. With more than 2.5 million hotspot users across its network, Tizeti now operates one of Africa’s largest ad-supported connectivity platforms.
At Tizeti hotspots, users connect as usual and are offered the option to view a short video advertisement. Upon completion, they receive a defined data reward, with the ability to earn additional data through repeated opt-in sessions. The system is designed to create a transparent value exchange: users gain flexible internet access, advertisers secure active, opt-in engagement, and Tizeti extends connectivity in a commercially sustainable way.
The launch comes as Africa’s digital advertising market accelerates. Programmatic ad spend on the continent is projected to reach about $4 billion in 2025 and exceed $5 billion by 2028, with the majority of advertising revenue expected to be generated through programmatic channels by the end of the decade. By embedding Google Ad Manager across its entire hotspot infrastructure, Tizeti positions itself as a large-scale access point for brands seeking measurable reach in Nigeria and Ghana.
Advertisers can access Tizeti’s inventory through Google Ad Manager’s unified demand ecosystem, including open and private auctions, preferred deals, programmatic guaranteed placements, and direct reservations. Because users actively choose to engage with rewarded ads, advertisers benefit from higher completion rates, stronger attention metrics, premium visibility, and improved return on ad spend compared with passive advertising formats.
“Internet access is a fundamental driver of opportunity,” said Nsikak Asuquo, West Africa Manager at Tizeti Network Limited. “By rolling out reward-based internet access across Nigeria and Ghana, we are expanding connectivity without financial barriers while offering brands a high-engagement platform to reach more than 2.5 million active users. This reinforces our commitment to digital inclusion and scalable infrastructure growth across Africa.”
The platform is built on Google Ad Manager’s secure advertising infrastructure, which includes advanced delivery optimization, sophisticated targeting controls, and built-in security protections to ensure a compliant and performance-driven environment.
The Rewarded Internet Access platform is now live across all Tizeti hotspot locations in Nigeria and Ghana, spanning residential communities, commercial districts, campuses, and high-density urban areas. Brands and agencies can activate campaigns programmatically through Google Ad Manager or engage directly with Tizeti’s commercial partnerships team.
Tizeti Network Limited provides affordable, high-speed broadband services across Nigeria and Ghana through a combination of fiber and public Wi-Fi infrastructure, supporting commerce, education, financial inclusion, and digital innovation across the region.
